This is a short and sweet song. “Greensleeves” is a traditional English folk song and tune, a ground of the form called a romanesca. Romanesca is a song form popular in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. It was most popular with Italian composers of the early Baroque period.
Technique
Take note on time. This is not a linear, uniform song. Some parts are faster than other. The 3 or 4 finger chord is not strummed but plucked simultaneously. Pay heed to hold the suspended bass note.
