Study in C Major by Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909)
Exercise (pim-ami-ami-ami)
Estudio means Study or exercise, in this case ( p i m a m i a m i a m i ) right hand pattern. Part of Tarrega’s genius was his sophisticated and innovative approach to right hand fingering blending melody and accompaniment throughout the fingerboard, thus bring out the full range of tone colors and dynamic possibilities of the guitar. Estudio in C Major is one fine example of Tarrega’s mastery in composition.
Technique
Open strings makes this song easy to play. A 16 bars song with 2 parts, each played twice. 1 barred chord (bar13) and 3 partial barred chords (bar 6, 10, 14). Tempo at Andante so play moderately slow and even.

Make sure you pluck uniformly in tempo while trying to keep the volume undulating.
