Italian born Ferdinando Carulli is one of the first composers for classical guitar. When he was born, the guitar as we know it today didn’t exist. Guitar dervies from lute and Carulli helped change the guitar into the larger, more resonant instrument we are all familiar with. Carulli is also the author of the first complete classical guitar method, which continues to be used today. Ferdinando Carulli was an extremely prolific writer for guitar, composing over 400 works for the instrument!

Technique
This song is not difficult to play as there are no barred chords and tricky fingering. Tempo is Andante which means keeping the tempo moderately slow and even.

Tip
Many of Carulli’s songs focuses on exercises and helping the player get familarized with the instrument. Many of his songs are easy to play. If you are new to the classical guitar. Ferdinando Carulli will definitely be a good start.

Classical for guitar is one of my first classical guitar book. Jerry Synder, the author of the book has categorized 17 songs by grades. From grade 1 (beginner) to grade 4 (late intemediate). Each song comes with a brief introduction which is helpful and informative. In this tab book, you will find many composers’ famous works. like beethovern’s “fur elise” to wedding favorites like “Canon in D” by Pachelbel and “Jesu, Man’s joy of desiring” by Bach to excerise work by Fernando Sor. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an entry level classical guitar book.
